Mount Vernon High School 1950-1980 |

| For
thirty years Mount Vernon High School was graced with one of the most
respected gentlemen in the sport of wrestling. Paul Reiman coached
the Bulldogs from 1950 to 1980, capturing state tournament places
of second in 1961 and the title in 1962. Paul Reiman built a program
which reflected the high character of its coach. Each year at the "AA" State Tournament Paul presents the "AA" Coach of the Year award to the coach who has contributed the most to our sport and is affectionately known as the "Paul Reiman Award." Paul Reiman was inducted by one of his former wrestlers, Leroy Workhoven, former head wrestling coach at Ellensburg High School and Principal at Wapato High School. |
