| Lee Reichert has been a head coach at the high school level for 30 years, the last 15 of those at Enumclaw HS. Over 30 years his teams have an incredible dual meet record of 218-10-0, a winning percentage over 96%. His teams have won five state championships, 9 regional titles and 19 sub-regional titles, 18 league titles along with a win streak of 54 straight duals. Lee has coached 98 state placers, including 16 state champions. While at Kentwood, two of his athletes were the first teammates to wrestle in the state finals in the same weight class. Reichert’s teams have won eight Dream Dual championships.
Reichert has been voted as the League Coach of the Year eight times, and Regional Coach of the Year six times. In 2007 Reichert was honored as the 3A State Coach of the Year. He hosts a yearly summer wrestling camp in the community to continue development of the sport on the Enumclaw plateau.
His nominator writes; “Lee teaches success on the mat and in life comes from goal setting, and then taking action to stay committed to your goals. He reminds them daily in practice that success stops when you stop. These life lessons from Lee, a caring and humble man, will guide these young student athletes for many years to come.”
