Joe Reasons coached at three junior highs from 1964 to 1976, including ten years in the Clover Park School District where his teams won the SPSL Junior High Championships each of those ten years. After moving to Clover Park High School in 1976, his teams became a power in the SPSL and the state. Twice the Warriors won the state title and the SPSL title five times. Joe coached 16 state finalists and seven champions. 47 state placers wrestled for Joe. Joe also coached for eight years at Curtis HS in Tacoma. During his years of coaching Joe’s teams compiled a record of 327-88-1, winning 149 matches before his first dual loss.
Joe was selected as the state Coach of the Year twice, league and regional Coach of the Year three times. He led a cultural exchange team to Germany. Joe has retired from teaching, though he continues to substitute in the North Mason School District where he also helps with the wrestling program. He is also an assistant football coach at South Kitsap High School.
