Eric Beardsley
Inducted in 1984

Moses Lake High School, 1951-1959
Central Washington University 1959-1985

The first wrestling coach at Moses Lake High School distinguishes Eric Beardsley. He established a state power in his seven years from 1951-1959. In 1959 Coach Beardsley became the first wrestling coach at Central Washington University and coached there until his retirement in 1985, capping 34 years of coaching.

He is a member of the NAIA Wrestling Hall of Fame and has twice been selected NAIA National Wrestling Coach of the Year in 1971 and 1974 when his teams won the NAIA National Titles.

During his tenure at Central he coached fourteen national champions, thirty-two All-Americans, fifty-three national place winners. Twelve of his teams placed in the top ten nationally. Most importantly, coach Beardsley has been an ambassador for wrestling in the state of Washington.

Mr. Jim Adamson, a long time friend and wrestling enthusiast from Moses Lake inducted Eric Beardsley.
