Puyallup High School, 1956-1970

Ray Barnes won five Puget Sound League Championships, six West Central District Titles and compiled a dual match record of 115 wins, 36 losses and 4 ties. He started the Wrestling program at Puyallup High School. During the 1960's Ray hosted the West Central District at Puyallup and was a pioneer in forming the old South Puget Sound League. Ray became Athletic Director for the Puyallup School District and served as S.P.S.L. Wrestling commissioner.

Ray Barnes was nominated by Paul Greeley of Bethel and Spanaway Lake high schools and was inducted by Dick Pruett of Kent Meridian High School and Hall of Fame Member.
