Coach Alexander
was born in Kirkland and he attended Kirkland High School where
he was coached by Hall of Famer Jim Jolgen (class of 1996) and earned
his teaching degree at Whitworth College. Pat retired from wresling
coaching at the end of the 1993-94 season after coaching at Mt.
Si High School for nine years and at Tumwater High School for eighteen
years.
Between the
two of them, Pat and his wife Rebecca have five children; Kelly
(Kip), Rebecca, Mary, Kathi and Grant.
Pat's achievements
in and contributions to wrestling include; National USWF Directors,
Washington State Kids Wrestling Director, U.S. Kids "Man of
the Year" in 1981, Black Hills League "Coach of the Year"
for the 1982-1983 season, USA State Chairman's Award in 1984, WSWCA
Vice President in 1987, Recipient of the 1988 Dr. William Tomaras
Award, and long time director of the WSWCA Hall of Fame.
An exemplary
role model and inspiration to all who know him, coach Alexander
has coached many state qualifiers and place winners.
Pat has retired
from teaching and serves as a football coach at Tumwater High School.
Pat Alexander
was nominated by Erich Weight, son-in-law and head coach at Franklin
PIerce High School and was inducted by his son Captain Kip Alexander.
