Jack Reynolds
Honored in 2004

Bellevue, Washington

 

Jack has been an active wrestling official for the past 36 years. Jack was a high school graduate of North Central High School in Spokane, wrestling for Hall of Fame Coach Les Hogan. He went on and briefly wrestled at the University of Washington before graduating from EWU.

Jack has been a teacher/coach and official for 30+ years and began his wrestling officiating career in 1968. Since that time he has officiated at 25+ state wrestling tournaments as well as serving as a collegiate wrestling official when there were college programs in Washington. Jack has served as one of the WIAA Wrestling State Clinicians since 1989 and has been the assigning secretary for the Pacific Northwest Wrestling Officials Association since 1992. In 2001 Jack was selected to be the NFHS Section 8 representative on the NFHS Wrestling rules committee. Jack’s three-year term recently expired in 2004.

Jack Reynolds is synonymous with wrestling and wrestling officials in the State of Washington. When asked about his experiences as a wrestling official, he stated “It is still fun, and what I really enjoy most is working with the outstanding people in the sport of wrestling.”
