Randy Audette
Honored in 2008

Mt. Vernon , WA

Randy started his wrestling career in 1964 for two WSWCA Hall of Fame coaches; his high school coach was Bo Campbell and he wrestled at Skagit Valley College for Gary Knutzen. Audette started officiating in 1970 and his first state tournament was in 1974. He has officiated over 25 state championships during his career along with numerous regional tournaments. He often officiated in packed houses, in particular the Burlington-Sedro Woolley matches that were famous for their highly spirited contests.

Audette has served in a leadership position in the Skagit/Whatcom County Officials Association and has helped conduct many rules clinics along with being a mentor for younger officials. He is currently the president of the association.

Along with officiating, he found time to serve as a coach for 16 years in the Mount Vernon area including 8 at Mount Baker Middle School, 4 years at Laventure Middle School, and 4 years with the youth program. Randy still had time to work with his two sons, Cody and Casey (both state tournament placers), as well as run a successful business in the Big Lake Area.
