The
Washington State Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame was created in 1984
with an inaugural class of 9 members. Since then 97 total coaches
and contributors have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The
Hall of Fame has been partially financed by the "Hall of Fame Tournament"
held each year, and started by HOF Member Pat Alexander at Tumwater
High School. The 2002 HOF Tournament was held at Clover Park High
School the past three seasons. The format was changed in 2000 to a
dual meet tournament. The last tournament took place in 2006.
The
WSWCA Hall of Fame is directed by Jim Meyerhoff of Emerald Ridge
High School.
